पंजाब में रहने वाली एक और दिल्ली में दो पत्नी के साथ तीन बार शादी करने में कामयाब 57 वर्षीय जालसाज को 18 साल तक फरार रहने के बाद वीजा रैकेट मामले में गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
आरोपी की पहचान कपूरथला के करनैल सिंह के रूप में हुई है, और वर्तमान में दिल्ली के तिलक नगर में रहता है, जिसे 2003 में एक घोषित अपराधी घोषित किया गया था।
मामले की जानकारी देते हुए एसीपी शिबेश सिंह ने कहा कि करनैल पर स्विट्जरलैंड के लिए वीजा देने के बहाने एक व्यक्ति को धोखा देने का आरोप है। आरोपी ने जीत सिंह को स्विटजरलैंड में नौकरी का झांसा दिया और उसके लिए साढ़े पांच लाख रुपये वीजा का इंतजाम करने का वादा किया। एसीपी ने कहा, “पैसे लेने के बाद, करनाल का पता नहीं चल सका और इस पर मामला दर्ज किया गया।”
