Amritpal Singh is a resident of Jallupur Kheda village of Punjab Amritsar. Amritpal was born on 18 January 1993. His father’s name is Tarsem Singh and mother’s name is Balwinder Kaur, Amritpal has an elder brother and he has 2 twin sisters. Amritpal studied till 12th and after that he went to Dubai. Where he started the business of transport. When the farmer’s movement started, at that time he came in contact with Deep Sidhu, who was the head of Waris Punjab De Sangathan. They never met, only they were connected to each other through internet.

Then suddenly Amritpal came in front, this name was never heard by anyone before nor was it seen in any movement. Even in the organization of which he is the head (Waris Punjab De), he has never been seen. A few months back, a large number of armed men started a ruckus at the Ajnala police station. There were thousands of people who created ruckus in the police station. All these people created fearless ruckus in the station by breaking the barricades. The crowd started using guns, sticks, swords, in which many police were seriously injured. This uproar started because Amritpal Singh’s accomplice Lovepreet Toofan was arrested by the police. Amritpal supporters attacked Ajnala police station to get rid of him. It is from here that the name of Amritpal Singh comes in the headlines.

Waris Punjab De is a Sikh community organization whose aim is to protect the rights of Punjab and to awaken the youth and bring them on the path of Sikhism. Its real aim is to fight for the independence of Punjab. This organization was founded by Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu on 30 September 2021. Deep Sidhu comes into the limelight when he did violence on the Red Fort on January 26 during the peasant movement and hoisted the Khalistani flag. Shortly thereafter, he died in a car accident. Deep Sidhu was a supporter of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, who ran the Khalistani movement. After the death of Deep Sidhu, Amritpal Singh becomes the head of the organization ‘Waris Punjab De’, whose news is not known to anyone, even the family members of Deep Sidhu do not know Amritpal Singh. Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh now runs this organization and demands a separate Sikh state.

Now the command of Waris Punjab De organization is in the hands of Amritpal Singh. This command was handed over to him in the village of Khalistani rebel General Singh Bhindranwale. Bhindranwale is considered responsible for taking terrorism to its peak in Punjab in the 80-90s. Amritpal Singh claims himself to be a follower of Khalistani terrorist General Singh Bhindranwale. However, Deep Sidhu’s family believes that Amritpal Singh is misleading Sikh youth in the name of Khalistan.

Amritpal Singh married Kirandeep Kaur on 10 February. Kirandeep lived in the UK before marriage. According to an intelligence report in the media, Amritpal’s wife Kirandeep has worked for a terrorist organization named Babbar Khalsa International while living in the UK. She used to collect funds for Babbar Khalsa International in the UK. In the year 2020, he was detained by the security agencies there along with five other associates. There too he was interrogated.
