Nepal Yeti Airlines plane crashed
An ATR-72 aircraft of Yeti Airlines has crashed while landing at Pokhara airport. Yeti Airlines ATR-72 aircraft had taken off from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The plane crashed at Pokhara in Kaski district at 11 am on Sunday. A total of 40 bodies have been recovered so far. Chief District Officer Tek Bahadur KC told the media that there is a possibility of death of more people in this plane crash. A total of 68 passengers and four crew members were on board the aircraft.
Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has called an emergency cabinet meeting expressing grief over the Yeti Airlines plane crash. Prime Minister Prachanda has given instructions to run an effective rescue operation. According to the information so far, out of 68 passengers on board the crashed plane of Yeti Airlines, 10 were foreigners and 5 were Indian nationals. India’s Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia has described the death of people in the tragic plane crash in Nepal as extremely unfortunate. Aviation Minister Scindia said that my condolences and prayers are with the bereaved families.
