According to the Patiala police, the gang members will be interrogated thoroughly after taking their remand from the court. Apart from this, the statistics of child theft cases show that in Orissa (84.86%), Chhattisgarh (87.4%), West Bengal (84.81%), Bihar (84.53%), Punjab (84.31%), Rajasthan (83.73%) Himachal Pradesh (81.25%), Madhya Pradesh (81.5%) and Andhra Pradesh (80.3%) are the states with the highest percentage of female child disappearances, more than 80%.

The mob surrounds the child thief and he is brutally thrashed to death. The general public should know that theft of goods and theft of children are two different types of crimes. The one who steals children gets only life imprisonment. Instead of beating the child thief, people should catch him and hand him over to the police.
