Gangster Goldie Brar, the main accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, has been detained in California, USA. Goldie Brar will be brought to India soon, this information was given by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. In a press conference during Gujarat elections, Chief Minister Mann said that Goldie Brar will be punished as per law and Sidhu Musewala’s family will get justice soon.
Singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, was shot dead on 29 May 2022 in Mansa district of Punjab. Goldie Brar, a member of the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder of the Punjabi singer. In this case, the police has also interrogated Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in jail, several times. Sidhu Musewala was shot dead on the instructions of gangster Bishnoi. In this case, a red corner notice was issued against Goldie Brar sitting in Canada. Goldie was reported to have tried to appeal for political asylum through legal aid in California. His aim was not to capture him and bring him to India. For this, he also wanted to take help from legal experts. But a lawyer refused to fight the case seeing Goldie’s criminal background. After this he took help from another lawyer. Political asylum is applied when someone tries to show that he is not getting justice in his country and has been oppressed there.
