A case of complicity of a police officer with IED and heroin smugglers came to light in the India-Pakistan border area. The Special Task Force caught some smugglers in the case of importing IED and heroin in India. The agency’s investigation has uncovered the name of a police officer named Narinder Singh, who helped him with the smugglers. The investigation also revealed that the police officer had also taken a hefty amount to save the smugglers from action. The linking of the name of the police officer with the smugglers is a matter of grave concern for the state government and the department. If seen, this matter is very sensitive. Because any kind of negligence in the matter related to the security of the country is dangerous. The police officer whose name has surfaced was posted in the area of Amritsar itself. Most of this area is very close to the border of Pakistan. Such cases keep coming before the agencies from time to time. From which it is known that some suspicious people keep helping smugglers and people involved in criminal activities in the border areas. The role of the police officer in the IED case should alert the security agencies.
